Third edition of Almadinah Book Fair set to begin on July 30

The Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission will host the third edition of the Almadinah Book Fair from July 30 to August 5, 2024.

The fair will feature more than 300 Arab and international publishing houses and agencies and a wide range of lectures, workshops, and seminars presented by experts and intellectuals.

Dr. Mohammed Alwan, the commission's CEO, highlighted the fair's reflection on the ongoing support for the cultural sector from the Saudi leadership. He emphasized the fair's role in showcasing Madinah's cultural heritage and enhancing the Kingdom's position in the publishing industry.

The fair, now a highly anticipated annual event, attracts thousands of visitors and aims to promote reading culture across all societal segments. It will also highlight Saudi writers and creators, alongside international authors and publishers.

Attendees can explore the latest literary, knowledge, and scientific publications and engage with authors at book signing events. The fair will also feature a dedicated area for children, with educational and skill-based activities designed to boost their creativity.
