The ministry highlighted that the optimal time to plant cantaloupe in the Riyadh region is from March to the end of April to achieve the best possible yield.

Additionally, the ministry emphasized the numerous health benefits of cantaloupe, including its role in protecting against asthma, strengthening the immune system, regulating blood pressure, aiding digestion, strengthening bones, regulating blood sugar levels, preventing dehydration, improving vision, and providing essential vitamins. Consuming locally produced fruit during its harvest season ensures maximum nutritional and health benefits.

The Harvest Season campaign aims to introduce various types of local fruits and their availability throughout the year, aligning with the ministry's policy to enhance the production and use of local products, raise their quality and safety standards, and spread knowledge of agricultural products.
