RIYADH —
The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) has concluded two international training programs for the first- and second-place winners of the Open Data Datathon event, which was recently held in Riyadh. The training took place in the United States and the United Kingdom.

This initiative is part of SDAIA's efforts to enhance participants' knowledge in data and artificial intelligence and to equip them with advanced skills from some of the world's leading universities.

The first-place team, Traffix AI, attended the Hero Training Program at Draper University in the United States. Their winning project, which predicts vehicle accident damages and error rates using features such as images and damage location, was aimed at improving liability determination in traffic accidents and reducing congestion. The program focused on developing essential skills and creative ideas for launching successful business ventures.

The second-place team, Team 2030, participated in the Data Science for Competitive Advantage program at London Business School in the UK. Their project involved developing a system to identify early signs of driver fatigue by analyzing subtle signals such as eye closure. This system offers immediate responses to drowsy driving and can automatically alert emergency services, ensuring road safety.
