RIYADH — Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman received President Mahmoud Abbas of Palestine in Riyadh on Tuesday.

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed the state of military escalation in Gaza. The Crown Prince stressed Saudi Arabia’s continued efforts in communicating with all international and regional parties to stop the escalation.

He reaffirmed Saudi Arabia's unwavering support for the Palestinian people to obtain their legitimate rights for a decent life, as well as to achieve their hopes and aspirations, and secure a just and lasting peace.

The meeting was attended by Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman; Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan; President of the General Intelligence Khalid Al-Humaidan; and Naif bin Bandar Al-Sudairy, Saudi ambassador to Jordan, who also serves as non-resident Saudi ambassador to Palestine.

The meeting was also attended by a number of officials from the Palestinian side.
