RIYADH The National Center for Palms and Dates revealed an increase in the value of Saudi Arabia’s date exports during the first half of 2024, reaching more than SR751 million, an increase of 9.9%, compared to the same period in 2023, in which the value of its exports amounted to more than SR683 million.

Saudi Arabia's exports of dates included several countries that witnessed a significant increase and growth in the value of exports during the first half of 2024, as the increase rate in some countries exceeded 100%, and these include Brazil, Norway, Italy, and Canada.

Germany also recorded a 91.5% increase in the value of date exports, followed by South Korea by 72%, Indonesia by 50.1%, while Sweden witnessed a 43.7% increase.

The percentage increase in the value of date exports to Malaysia reached 32.6%, and to the United Kingdom by 29.7%, while the value of exports to Morocco increased by 25.3%, and to United States by 21.1%.

The increase in Saudi Arabia’s date exports is a result of the unlimited support of the wise leadership for the palm and dates sector, in addition to the effective role of the National Center for Palms and Dates and its efforts to increase the competitiveness of Saudi dates on the global level.

This enhances the presence of Saudi dates globally and places the Kingdom among the leading countries in exporting dates.
