RIYADH — Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr announced on Friday the signing of 19-year-old Brazilian forward Wesley Gasova from Corinthians on a four-year contract.
The deal falls under the 2003-born category, which allows each club to register two players in this age bracket.
The contract signing was attended by Al Nassr's sporting director Fernando Hierro, who expressed his delight at securing Wesley, describing him as one of the promising talents in Brazilian football.
Wesley played the most matches for Corinthians this season, appearing in 47 games under coach Ramon Diaz and was a key player before losing his starting spot in the last five matches.
Throughout his time with Corinthians, Wesley made 99 official appearances across all competitions, scoring 10 goals and providing 6 assists. The 2023-2024 season was his most successful with the Brazilian club, where he scored five goals and made four assists in 47 matches.
Wesley was a target for several European clubs recently, including West Ham United, which attempted to sign him in July 2024, but the deal fell through due to high demands from Corinthians.
Internationally, Wesley has yet to feature for Brazil's senior national team due to his young age, but he remains a significant talent with valuable experience from domestic and continental competitions with Corinthians.
