RIYADH The General Directorate of Passports has issued as many as 23,871 administrative decisions against violators during the last Hijri month of Safar.

Administrative committees under Passport departments in various regions across the Kingdom have taken the punitive measures, including imprisonment and fines, against citizens and expatriates for violating Residency Law, Labor Law and Border Security regulations. Expatriates among the violators will be deported after serving the jail term and payment of fines.

The Passports Directorate called on all citizens and expatriates, business owners and individuals not to give transportation, job or shelter to violators of residency, work and border security regulations, or cover them up or provide them with any means of assistance in finding jobs, housing or transportation.

It urged the public to report such violations through contacting over phone number 911 in the regions of Makkah, Riyadh and the Eastern Province, and 999 in the rest of the Kingdom's regions.
