RIYADH Saudi Arabia strongly condemned on Tuesday targeting of Mawasi camp in the Gaza Strip by the Israeli occupation forces.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom's strong condemnation and denunciation of the targeting of a makeshift displacement camp in Mawasi, located in southwestern Khan Younis of Gaza Strip. The attack by the Israeli war machine resulted in the killing and injuring of dozens of unarmed civilians.

Saudi Arabia reiterated its categorical rejection of continued Israeli genocide, and called for an immediate ceasefire. The Kingdom held the Israeli occupation forces fully responsible for the continued violation of all international and humanitarian norms and laws.

In the statement, the ministry also emphasized the legal, humanitarian and moral responsibility of the international community to activate international accountability mechanisms and put an end to these ongoing violations of international law and resolutions by the Israeli occupation forces.
