RIYADH — Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef and President of the Italian Region of Lombardy Attilio Fontana discussed opportunities for cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Italy in the realms of industrial innovation, advanced manufacturing technologies, and knowledge transfer. During the meeting, held at the ministry's headquarters in Riyadh on Wednesday, they also explored innovative solutions for key industrial sectors that Saudi Arabia aims to localize.

The meeting focused on enhancing joint cooperation in industrial sectors that leverage Fourth Industrial Revolution solutions to support sustainable economic growth through knowledge and innovation. This includes advanced industries, communications, healthcare, and renewable energy. The two sides also discussed opportunities in advanced industries such as aviation, space, and information technology.

Minister Alkhorayef highlighted Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 objectives to diversify the national economy and the investment opportunities provided by the National Industrial Strategy. The meeting was attended by Assistant Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Planning and Development Dr. Abdullah bin Ali Al-Ahmari.
