RIYADH — Saudi fighter Hattan Al Saif has achieved a Guinness World Record for the fastest knockout in the Professional Fighters League (PFL) MENA, winning her bout in just 41 seconds. With only three years of experience in martial arts, Al Saif has quickly become a notable figure in the sport, showcasing her determination and skill.

Her swift rise in martial arts began with Muay Thai and boxing, where she quickly made a name for herself. Al Saif earned a gold medal at the Muay Thai World Championship and went on to win titles in boxing competitions, proving her ability to excel in multiple disciplines. Her record-setting knockout came during a match against Egypt’s Iman Baraka, where Al Saif displayed her sharp technique and control.

Reflecting on her journey, Al Saif said, “The biggest challenge I faced was pushing forward despite the fatigue and obstacles. I had no choice but to keep going.”

Al Saif’s achievements are a source of pride not only for her but also for Saudi and Arab women. "This is a proud moment for me, and I hope it inspires young Saudi women to pursue their dreams, whatever challenges they may face," she said.

Although relatively new to martial arts, Al Saif’s dedication to improving her skills in disciplines like karate, taekwondo, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling has led to her success in competitive mixed martial arts. Her ability to focus under pressure and adapt quickly has been key to her progression in the sport.

“Achieving a Guinness World Record was something I didn’t expect when I started,” Al Saif remarked. “I dedicate this achievement to my country and everyone who has supported me along the way.” — SG
