DAMMAM — Al Qadsiah secured a spot in the Round of 16 of the King’s Cup after a decisive 4-1 win against Al Orobah at Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam.
The match saw Al Qadsiah open the scoring early, with Julián Quiñones finding the net in the 10th minute. Cameron Puertas doubled the lead in the 37th minute, followed by Quiñones again at the start of the second half to make it 3-0. The fourth goal came from striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the first minute of stoppage time.
Al Orobah managed to score a consolation goal just a minute before the final whistle, converting a penalty after the referee reviewed the decision via VAR, with Gudmundsson successfully scoring.
In Makkah, Al Wehda advanced to the Round of 16 after a tense penalty shootout victory over Al Faisaly. The match ended in a 1-1 draw after regular and extra time, with Al Wehda winning 4-2 on penalties.
Al Faisaly opened the scoring in the second half through Lucas de Souza, but Al Wehda quickly equalized with a goal from Ighalo in the 51st minute.
