KYIV — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized on Monday that the upcoming months in the Russia-Ukraine war will be “decisive.”

Speaking at an award ceremony in New York, where he received a Golden Plate Award from the American Academy of Achievement, Zelenskyy stated, “We don’t have much time. The next few months will be decisive.”

He framed the conflict as “Russia’s war against freedom itself,” stressing the urgency of determining its outcome.

“We need to be faster. We need not to lose the next few months in war, so that we don’t lose the next decades,” he added.

Zelenskyy revealed that Ukraine has a “plan for victory,” which he intends to present to U.S. officials, including presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, as well as Kyiv's allies.

He stated, “And I believe this must be our shared achievement – victory for freedom, with no compromises at freedom’s expense.”

Arriving in the U.S. to attend the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, Zelenskyy reiterated that his “victory plan” focuses on security, Ukraine's geopolitical position, strong military support, and economic assistance.

He underlined the importance of having the freedom to make decisions regarding military aid. Agencies
