NEW YORK — Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan discussed the security and humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and the Israeli attacks on Lebanon during his participation in the consultative ministerial level meeting of the Arab League Council in New York. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the high-level week of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The meeting underlined the need for joint Arab coordination to exert more efforts to stop the military escalation in the region. The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral International Affairs and Supervisor General of the Ministry’s Agency for Public Diplomacy Affairs Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Rassi, Saudi Arabia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Wasil, and Director General of the Office of the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Daoud.
