RIYADH — The Diriyah Biennale Foundation is set to host the inaugural edition of the PaperBack – Art Book Fair at the JAX District in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.

This cultural event, scheduled for November 1–3, 2024, will bring together a diverse array of professionals, collectors, art enthusiasts, and curious minds from around the world.

The fair will feature 25 artists and collectives, independent presses, booksellers, zine makers, publishers, cultural organizations, and academic institutions.

With participants hailing from 16 countries, including China, Egypt, India, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Switzerland, the UAE, and the UK, the event promises a rich cultural exchange.

Among the participants are Brownbook magazine, a renowned cultural platform from the Gulf; the Cairo Art Book Fair; Set Margins, a publication from the Netherlands; 51 Personae, a collective publishing project from China; Kaph Books from Lebanon, which focuses on art books from the Arab world; and Japan's shashasha, an online photo and art book shop. — SG
