RIYADH —
The Museums Commission has announced the launch of a groundbreaking art exhibition titled "Art of the Kingdom," set to introduce Saudi contemporary art to the world stage.

The traveling exhibition aims to showcase the best of Saudi artistic practices on the international scene and foster a deeper global understanding of the Kingdom’s evolving art landscape.

The exhibition will begin its journey in Brazil in November 2024, coinciding with the G20 Summit, where a curated selection of works by leading contemporary Saudi artists will be displayed.

Following its Brazilian debut, the exhibition will move to Riyadh, where it will be hosted by the Saudi Museum of Contemporary Art in JAX District in early 2025.

It will conclude its global tour at the National Museum of China in Beijing at the end of 2025.

Titled "Poetic Illuminations," the inaugural edition in Brazil will feature over 15 Saudi artists from diverse generations and artistic practices.

The exhibition will include a variety of visual arts, such as installations, sculptures, oil paintings, and drawings, reflecting the rich diversity of Saudi Arabia’s cultural and artistic scene.

Through "Art of the Kingdom," the Museums Commission aims to empower and promote Saudi artists on the global stage, while also enhancing the cultural standing of the Kingdom in the international art community.
