Russia and Ukraine conduct prisoner exchange, releasing 95 soldiers each

MOSCOW — Russia and Ukraine successfully carried out a prisoner exchange on Friday, with 95 soldiers from each side being released, according to official reports.

The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed that the exchange took place on October 18, facilitated by the mediation of the United Arab Emirates.

The released Russian soldiers are currently in Belarus, where they are receiving medical and psychological care.

The ministry also stated that the personnel will be transported back to the Russian Federation for further treatment and rehabilitation at medical facilities operated by the Defense Ministry. — Agencies
