SRCA revives unconscious Umrah performer at Makkah’s Grand Mosque after cardiac arrest

MAKKAH —
The Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) ambulance teams in Makkah swiftly responded to a medical emergency at the Grand Mosque, successfully reviving a Pakistani Umrah performer who had lost consciousness and suffered cardiac arrest.

The SRCA received an alert at 11:19 AM reporting an unconscious Umrah performer at the King Fahd Walkway. Ambulance teams were immediately dispatched to the scene and found the Umrah performer, a man in his 50s, unresponsive.

Utilizing the defibrillator (AED) available at the Grand Mosque, the SRCA team promptly initiated cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) using the "LUCAS" device. Their timely intervention restored the Umrah performer's pulse, and he was subsequently transported to a medical facility for further care.
