RIYADH — Al Hilal continued its winning streak in the Saudi Pro League, securing a valuable 2-0 victory against Al Taawoun, thanks to goals from Serbian duo Aleksandar Mitrović and Sergej Milinković-Savić. With this win, Al Hilal soared to the top of the league standings, increasing their points tally to 24.

Completing the eighth round with a perfect record, Al Hilal celebrated their eighth consecutive victory in the league, demonstrating their readiness for the upcoming clash against traditional rivals Al Nassr.

Under the guidance of Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus, Al Hilal started the match strongly, taking an early lead through top scorer Mitrović, who converted a perfect cross from João Cancelo in the 15th minute.

While Al Taawoun showed signs of a comeback in the second half, having a goal disallowed for offside, Milinković-Savić secured the win for his team with a goal in the 62nd minute, providing comfort and assurance to the squad.

The match also featured goalkeeper Mohamed Al-Yami, who stepped in for Moroccan keeper Yassine Bounou for the third consecutive game. Additionally, Mohamed Kanno made the squad to fill in for Portuguese player Rubén Neves, who is sidelined with a knee injury and is expected to miss 4 to 5 matches, including the encounter against Al Taawoun.
