RIYADH — Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman held wide ranging talks with French Minister of the Armed Forces Sébastien Lecornu at his office in Riyadh on Sunday.

During the meeting, they discussed the latest regional developments and efforts to achieve peace in the region and the world. The ministers reviewed the development of Saudi-French relations, and prospects for bilateral cooperation in the military and defense fields. They also discussed a number of topics of common interest.

The meeting was attended from the Saudi side by Deputy Defense Minister Prince Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf; Chief of the General Staff Gen. Fayyadh Al-Ruwaili; Assistant Defense Minister Eng. Talal Al-Otaibi; Director General of the Defense Minister's Office Hisham bin Abdulaziz bin Saif;Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense for Procurement and Armament Ibrahim Al-Suwaid, and Saudi Military Attaché in Paris and Bern Maj. Gen. Ibrahim Al-Mutawa.

The meeting was also attended by French Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Patrick Maisonnave, and several senior French officials.
