RIYADH — The Riyadh Region Mayoralty has shut down nine relaxation and body care centers following the detection of serious violations committed by them.
The inspection tours, carried out by the mayoralty officials last month, resulted in the detection of violations on the part of 293 establishments, and recording of 1,434 violations. A total of 413 inspection raids were carried out as part of its efforts to ensure compliance with health requirements and approved regulatory standards.
The mayoralty explained that major violations detected include violating the requirements for practicing specialized work; failure to adhere to wearing uniform by workers; low levels of general and personal hygiene; poor maintenance of equipment in terms of damaged massage chairs, storing workers' personal belongings in places not designated for it; not storing detergents, disinfectants, and tools in closed cabinets, in addition to the deterioration of the condition of buildings, including cracks in the walls and floors, leaving water drainage holes exposed, and not providing sign boards, apart from practicing activities in violation of the provisions of the granted licenses.
The mayoralty stressed that it will continue to carry out inspection tours of all facilities related to public health, in implementation of its strategy to raise the level of services provided to residents and visitors of the capital, and to ensure compliance with health and regulatory standards to achieve a safe and healthy environment for all.
