RIYADH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has called for the performance of rain-seeking (Istisqa) prayer all over the Kingdom on Thursday, Nov. 28, the Royal Court said in a statement on Tuesday.

The King’s call for Istisqa prayer is based on the Tradition (Sunnah) of Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) to perform rain-seeking prayer.

King Salman urged all the faithful to supplicate to God Almighty for forgiveness and repentance, and increase their voluntary acts of worship, such as charity and prayers, and make things easier for God's servants and relieve their distress, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
