RIYADH —
The Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) announced on Friday the extradition of Abdullah bin Awadh Aidha Al-Harthy, a Saudi citizen who was internationally wanted for crimes involving financial and administrative corruption.

An official source stated that the extradition follows the implementation of a Memorandum of Understanding between Saudi Arabia, represented by Nazaha, and the Russian Federation, represented by the Prosecutor General’s Office, aimed at combating cross-border corruption.

The Russian Prosecutor General’s Office responded to an official request from Nazaha, underscoring the commitment of both nations to uphold the rule of law, ensure justice, and strengthen international cooperation to combat transnational corruption while preventing impunity for corrupt individuals.

Nazaha expressed appreciation for the contributions of the GlobE Network and INTERPOL in tracking those involved in corruption and denying them safe havens.

The authority reiterated its dedication to pursuing corrupt individuals domestically and internationally, holding them accountable under the law, and recovering stolen assets and proceeds to the state treasury.
