Al Ahli stages comeback to defeat Al Taawoun 4-2 in Saudi Pro League

Al Ahli delivered a stunning comeback to secure a 4-2 victory over Al Taawoun in Round 13 of the Saudi Pro League.

Al Taawoun started strong with two quick goals from João Pedro in the 21st minute and Musa Barrow in the 23rd minute.



However, Al Ahli began their fightback just before halftime when Roger Ibañez scored in the eighth minute of stoppage time.

The momentum continued for Al Ahli in the second half, as Firas Al-Buraikan equalized in the 52nd minute.

Roberto Firmino then gave Al Ahli the lead with a goal in the 63rd minute, and Riyad Mahrez sealed the victory with a strike in the 73rd minute.



The win moves Al Ahli to fifth place in the league standings with 23 points, while Al Taawoun remains in ninth with 18 points.
