RIYADH The Federation of Saudi Chambers, in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Commerce, organized the Saudi-U.S. Business Forum in Riyadh on Sunday. The event was attended by Secretary General of the Federation Walid Al-Arainan, Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy Alison Dilworth, and representatives from government and private sectors of both countries.

The forum provided a platform for 72 American companies to explore export opportunities in the Saudi market and potential investments in the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 mega-projects, which span the energy, transportation, tourism, and healthcare sectors.

Discussions highlighted the Kingdom’s rapidly growing market and its potential for expanding trade in goods and services between the two nations. Particular emphasis was placed on the Kingdom’s anticipated $7 trillion in spending through specialized government development funds, presenting a significant opportunity for American businesses.

The U.S. Trade Mission’s visit also aims to introduce innovative American exports, products, and services to Saudi Arabia. Notably, many participating companies are American businesses owned by women, reflecting the alignment of Vision 2030 with efforts to empower Saudi women.

During the forum, a program under the American Chamber of Commerce focusing on Saudi-American cooperation was announced. This program is recognized as the second-largest of its kind globally. In 2023, the trade exchange between Saudi Arabia and the United States reached $34 billion. Both sides expressed optimism that forums like this will further strengthen economic ties and foster a comprehensive partnership, driven by continuous dialogue between public and private sectors in both countries.
