RIYADH —
The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) has announced on Wednesday that NEOM will host the draw ceremony for the FIFA World Cup 2034, which Saudi Arabia is set to host.

The announcement came just hours after FIFA confirmed the Kingdom's successful bid to host the prestigious tournament.

In a statement posted on its official account on X, the Saudi Football Federation wrote: “NEOM, the city of dreams, will host the FIFA World Cup 2034 draw ceremony.”

NEOM is one of five cities officially designated to host matches during the FIFA World Cup 2034. It is a groundbreaking project unveiled as part of Saudi Vision 2030, reflecting the Kingdom’s ambition to create sustainable, innovative cities.

According to Saudi Arabia’s bid file for the 2034 World Cup, NEOM is a flagship development under Vision 2030. Situated in the northwest of the Kingdom on the Red Sea coast and across the Gulf of Aqaba, NEOM represents one of the most innovative development projects in the world. It comprises several key projects, interconnected by "The Line," a futuristic linear city.

NEOM will feature a state-of-the-art stadium and advanced electric transportation systems. These will ensure seamless travel for visitors to fan festival sites, the marina, and The Marina Steps amphitheater, all integrated into a sustainable and digitally connected mobility network.
