CAIRO — Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Al-Khorayef began an official visit to Egypt, aiming to develop cooperation in the industry and mining sectors, as well as in food and medicine.
Al-Khorayef will hold meetings with government officials to discuss opportunities for developing bilateral relations between the two countries.
The visit will also include a series of meetings with leaders of private sector companies in Egypt, to review opportunities in the industrial sector, and the competitive advantages of the investment environment in Saudi Arabia.
In addition to visiting a number of industrial projects, including a visit to “Almarai” Beity Factory in Beheira Governorate, northern Egypt, to learn about the project’s experience in developing local communities and localizing supply chains, he will be visiting a number of pharmaceutical factories to learn about the Egyptian experience in manufacturing medicines.
The visit also aims to follow up on the achievements of the agreements concluded during the mutual visits between the two sides, in an effort to achieve tangible results that keep pace with the strategic and distinguished relations between Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
The total Saudi non-oil exports to Egypt during 2023 amounted to SR9.9 billion, while the total non-oil imports from Egypt during the same year reached SR9.6 billion.
