ISLAMABAD —
President Asif Ali Zardari of Pakistan welcomed Shoura Council Speaker Dr. Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh and his accompanying delegation during an official visit to Islamabad.

At the meeting’s outset, Al Al-Sheikh conveyed to the Pakistani president greetings from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, along with their wishes for Pakistan’s continued progress and prosperity.

The meeting highlighted the enduring fraternal ties between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. The discussions focused on avenues for strengthening cooperation in various sectors and several topics of mutual interest were addressed.

The meeting was attended by members of the Shoura Council, the Saudi-Pakistani Parliamentary Friendship Committee, and Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf Al-Malki.
