RIYADH — The Human Rights Commission (HRC) of Saudi Arabia and Tajikistan's Commission of Human Rights signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), aimed at enhancing cooperation in various human rights-related fields, in Riyadh on Thursday.

The agreement, signed by HRC President Dr. Hala Al-Tuwaijri and Tajikistan Commissioner for Human Rights Umed Bobozoda, seeks to build the capacities of personnel through shared expertise, joint programs, and collaborative research and publications.

The MoU highlights the exchange of statistics, reports, media publications, and scientific research to bolster human rights efforts. Special focus areas include education and advocacy for the rights of individuals with disabilities, children, women, and the elderly.

This partnership aligns with the HRC’s commitment to fostering collaboration with national, regional, and international organizations to protect and promote human rights. It reinforces Saudi Arabia's dedication to strengthening ties with global governmental and non-governmental institutions in this vital field.
