RIYADH
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Saudi Arabia's support for the United Nations General Assembly's adoption of a resolution submitted by Norway in partnership with Saudi Arabia and several other countries.

The resolution requests an advisory opinion from the International Court of Justice regarding Israel's obligations concerning UN activities and other international efforts to benefit Palestinians in the occupied territories.

The Ministry emphasized that the resolution aims to support the Palestinian people during challenging times and reflects the international consensus on their right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state.

Saudi Arabia also expressed its appreciation for the countries that voted in favor of the resolution, recognizing their positive stance on this critical issue.
