RIYADH A virtual meeting of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs (CEDA) discussed the third-quarter 2024 report on the programs advancing Vision 2030. The report highlighted key program achievements, outlined strategic objectives, and offered a comprehensive overview of current performance, ongoing efforts, and future aspirations. The report, which was presented by the Strategic Management Office at the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, emphasized remarkable progress across the three Vision 2030 pillars: a Vibrant Society, a Thriving Economy, and an Ambitious Nation.

The CEDA meeting reviewed a series of reports and topics on its agenda. Following discussions, the council issued decisions and recommendations on all agenda items. At the outset of the meeting, the council reviewed the economic report for December, presented by the Ministry of Economy and Planning. This report provided an analysis of significant developments in the global economy, challenges facing emerging markets, and their implications for the national economy.

The council underscored the Kingdom's ability to navigate these challenges, particularly through the notable progress in the non-oil sector and industrial activities, which align with ongoing efforts to achieve the Kingdom's Vision 2030 objectives.

During the meeting, the National Center for Performance Measurement (ADAA) presented an in-depth analysis of government agencies' performance during the third quarter of 2024. The presentation detailed ADAA's initiatives to support and empower government entities to achieve Vision 2030 objectives, assess performance outcomes of national strategies, and address future aspirations. ADAA reiterated its commitment to enhancing ministries and government performance through regular performance reviews and the implementation of corrective action plans.

The council reviewed key economic indicators, including the Consumer Price Index report for October 2024, the Wholesale Sales Report for the same period, and the foreign trade summary for September 2024, as well as supporting foundational reports
