OSAKASaudi Ambassador to Japan and Commissioner General of the Kingdom’s Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka Dr. Ghazi bin Zaqr attended the International Participants Meeting held from January 15 to 16 at the Himeji Culture and Convention Center here.

Bin Zaqr explained that the completion rate of the construction work of the Saudi pavilion has reached 82%, with the entire front facade complete, and its readiness to receive visitors from April 13. The Kingdom's pavilion has lined up more than 700 activities and daily live shows including fashion, music and films, besides highlighting the visitors’ experience and announcing new campaigns to encourage the Japanese community to “discover Saudi Arabia.”

“Saudi Arabia is pleased to host visitors and invite them to participate in an interconnected journey of new discoveries, showcasing the depth of our traditions and remarkable transformations,” the Saudi Ambassador said.

Dr. Ghazi also announced the launch of a national tour under the title “Saudi Tours in Japan” to enhance cultural interaction between the two peoples.

He pointed out that the pavilion will take visitors on an immersive journey through seven carefully designed halls, dealing with topics such as space and time, and will be displayed within cultural studios, in addition to providing innovative experiences that show the legacy of Saudi Arabia to future generations, and reflect the Kingdom’s global influence, whether through advanced cities, sustainable seas, unlimited human potential, or the pinnacles of innovation.

These tours will visit seven Japanese cities to give the Japanese an opportunity to meet Saudis and learn about their culture and traditions before the pavilion opens.

He explained that the tours, which started in Osaka, will continue until March 9 traveling through the cities of Kyoto, Kobe, Hiroshima, Fukuoka, Nagoya, and Tokyo.

They will provide the Japanese public with an immersive experience that introduces them to authentic Saudi hospitality and encourages them to visit Saudi Arabia’s pavilion, which will open its doors with the launch of the World Expo on April 13.

The Ambassador's presence at the Saudi pavilion participating in Expo 2025 Osaka comes to showcase Saudi Arabia's preparations to participate in the World Expo 2025 Osaka, and what it will present during the exhibition in terms of an innovative experience that embodies its commitment to international efforts for sustainable human development and creating a bright future for the world. The pavilion reflects its rich heritage and culture, its civilization rooted in history, its ancient traditions, and its accelerating transformational path.
