WASHINGTON Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to the United States Princess Reema bint Bandar said that the Saudi government looks forward to continuing cooperation with the United States across various fields, especially in light of the current challenges facing the Middle East.

Princess Reema made the remarks in a statement while attending the inauguration of US President Donald Trump and the accompanying events as the Kingdom's representative on Monday. She conveyed greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman to Trump on his re-election as president.

Princess Reema expressed the wishes of the Saudi leadership for his success in his duties. She emphasized the importance of the two countries' historical relations and strategic partnership. "Nearly 80 years have passed since the late founder, King Abdulaziz met with former U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt in February 1945, where the foundations for a strong relationship between the two friendly nations were laid. Since then, the strategic partnership between the two countries has successfully strengthened security and peace, overcoming many political and economic challenges together," Princess Reema said.

The Saudi envoy emphasized the depth of Saudi-American relations, which have spanned decades and encompass various political, economic, and developmental areas. "These relations are part of a partnership aimed at enhancing global stability and security," she added.
