King Salman and Crown Prince congratulate Syria's transitional President Al-Sharaa

RIYADH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman have congratulated Ahmed Al-Sharaa on the occasion of his assumption of office as the interim president of Syria. In separate cables of greetings sent to the Syrian leader, they wished him good health and happiness, and further progress and prosperity for Syria.

The King said: "We are pleased to express our congratulations on the occasion of your assumption of the presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic in the transitional phase. We wish you success in leading your country towards a prosperous future in a way realizing the aspirations of the Syrian people."

In his cable, the Crown Prince said: "On the occasion of your assumption of the presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic in the transitional phase, we are pleased to send to you our sincere congratulations and best wishes for success in this stage during which the Syrian people aspire to achieve their hopes and aspirations."
