RIYADH — Al Ahli has officially announced the signing of Brazilian winger Wenderson Galeno from Porto FC on a three-and-a-half-year contract.
The move comes as part of the club’s continuous efforts to strengthen its squad ahead of upcoming domestic and continental competitions.
Galeno, 27, is known for his exceptional pace, technical ability, and attacking versatility. The dynamic winger has built a strong reputation in European football, showcasing his ability to penetrate defenses, create goal-scoring opportunities, and deliver decisive performances in high-pressure matches. His arrival is expected to provide a significant boost to Al Ahli's offensive lineup.
The Brazilian star brings a wealth of experience, having won multiple titles during his time in Portugal.
He has secured two Primeira Liga titles with Porto, first in the 2017-2018 season and again in 2021-2022. His trophy cabinet also includes two Portuguese League Cups, the first with Braga in 2019-2020 and the second with Porto in 2022-2023.
Additionally, he has lifted the Portuguese Cup four times, winning once with Braga in 2020-2021 before achieving a remarkable treble with Porto from 2021 to 2024. He also claimed the Portuguese Super Cup twice, in 2022 and 2024.

The Brazilian winger successfully completed his medical examination in London on Friday morning. He is set to arrive in Saudi Arabia in the coming days to join Al Ahli’s first-team training sessions as he prepares to make his debut in the Saudi Pro League.
