RIYADHMinister of Economy and Planning Faisal Al-Ibrahim participated in the Global Healthspan Summit 2025 (GSH2025), which was held in Riyadh on Wednesday.

Al-Ibrahim highlighted the importance of Saudi investments in emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, stressing that these investments will contribute to extending the average healthy lifespan, which will contribute to enhancing productivity and driving growth in Saudi Arabia over the coming decades.

He also explained the need to treat population aging as an opportunity rather than a crisis, and that it could create an untapped labor market.

He pointed out that Saudi Arabia, as a global model for growth, can become a leader in the longevity economy, and that the young category in Saudi Arabia represents an important demographic dividend, and that empowering them and benefiting from their capabilities represents a great opportunity to drive the wheel of development and lead change.
