RIYADH — The Ministry of Finance has announced that the actual budget for the year 2024 recorded a deficit of SR115.6 billion with revenues amounting to SR1259 billion and expenditures accounting for SR1374 billion.

According to the ministry statement, revenues for the fourth quarter of 2024 amounted to SR302.9 billion while expenditures reached SR360.5 billion, with a deficit of SR57.7 billion. Actual oil revenues for the year amounted to SR756.6 billion, an increase of 0.3 percent compared to 2023, while non-oil revenues amounted to SR502.4 billion, an increase of 10 percent compared to 2023.

Oil revenues for the fourth quarter amounted to SR170.84 billion, a decrease of 31 percent compared to 2023, while non-oil revenues for the fourth quarter accounted for SR132 billion, an increase of 21 percent compared to 2023.

The statement revealed that the actual expenditure on the military sector amounted to SR236.6 billion, a decrease of seven percent compared to 2023; municipal services SR116.3 billion, an increase of 51 percent compared to 2023; education SR203.6 billion; health and social development SR272.6 billion, and public administration SR53 billion.
