RIYADH — Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan received US Secretary of State Marco Rubio at the ministry's headquarters in Riyadh on Monday.

During the meeting, they discussed regional and international developments and the efforts made to address them. They also reviewed bilateral relations and ways to further enhance them in a way serving the interests of the two friendly countries.

The reception was attended by Saudi Ambassador to the United States Princess Reema bint Bandar, Advisor to Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs Prince Misaab Al-Farhan, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs Ambassador Dr. Saud Al-Sati.

Rubio arrived in Riyadh on Monday on the second leg of his first tour of the Middle East after assuming office as Secretary of State in the Donald Trump Administration last month.
