Grand Mosque cleaning teams complete full sanitation in just 35 minutes

The cleaning teams at the Grand Mosque take only 35 minutes to clean the entire Grand Mosque without affecting the comfort of Doyof Al-Rahman.

The General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque explained that it employs cleaning teams of 3,500 male and female workers working around the clock, equipped with 12 specialized washing machines and 679 cleaning machines.

As for waste management, more than 3,000 waste containers distributed inside and outside the Grand Mosque are transported, and 70 tons of waste are collected and removed daily, increasing to 100 tons during peak times, in ways that take into account environmental safety.

The Authority stated that it uses environmentally friendly materials in cleaning operations, with cleaning operations continuing 24 hours a day without affecting the movement of pilgrims and worshippers, stressing that it aims to create a pure worship environment through the utmost care for the guests of God and preserving their health and safety so that they can perform their worship and rituals with ease and comfort.
