RIYADH — Saudi Arabia condemned on Tuesday Israeli act of cutting off electricity supply to the Gaza Strip.

In a press statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Saudi Arabia’s condemnation in the strongest terms of the Israeli occupation authorities’ use of collective punishment against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip by cutting off electricity to the Strip. Saudi Arabia reaffirmed its categorical rejection of Israel’s violations of international humanitarian law.

The ministry called on the international community to take urgent actions to immediately and unconditionally restore electricity and ensure the flow of aid to Gaza. Saudi Arabia also renewed its call to activate international accountability mechanisms for these blatant violations.
