Saudi Arabia hosts large-scale iftar banquets in Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, and Malaysia

JEDDAH —
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance hosted a large-scale Ramadan iftar banquet on Friday in Solo, Central Java Province, Indonesia, as part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' iftar program for Ramadan 1446 AH.

Spanning 2,800 square meters, the event welcomed over 20,000 fasting individuals and featured contributions from 20 local restaurants collaborating on meal preparation.

To ensure the safety and comfort of attendees, the ministry provided essential equipment, including rain shelters, ambulances, a cleaning and operational team, and a security detail to manage crowds and organize meal distribution.

Additionally, the ministry hosted an iftar banquet at the Central Mosque of Imam Sarakhsi in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, for individuals observing Ramadan.

Attendees expressed deep appreciation for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' iftar program, highlighting its impact on the Muslim community.

In Malaysia, the ministry also arranged an iftar meal on Friday in Kuala Lumpur as part of the ongoing Ramadan initiative.

This year, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' iftar program is being implemented in 61 countries to support Muslim communities, alleviate their burdens during Ramadan, and share in the joy of the holy month.

The ministry’s initiatives also include distributing dates and copies of the Quran, as well as organizing religious and cultural activities.
