RIYADH — The Alimony Fund of the Saudi Ministry of Justice disbursed over SR78 million in monthly maintenance payments in 2024, benefiting more than 23,000 recipients and ensuring timely financial support for families.
The fund aims to provide prompt alimony payments, promote financial stability, and enforce legal responsibility by recovering payments from those obligated to pay.
Throughout the year, the fund enhanced engagement with beneficiaries by addressing over 11,000 inquiries and distributing approximately 15,000 awareness messages to educate the public on their rights.
A key advancement was the streamlining of the alimony disbursement process, allowing eligible individuals to complete applications online and receive payments within five working days, provided all conditions are met.
The fund ensures that court-ordered entitlements are fulfilled and works to recover these amounts from liable parties.
Services are accessible via the Nafaqah.sa website, where users can log in using their ID number and date of birth to submit applications electronically. — SG
