RIYADH — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Saudi Arabia's condemnation of the attack targeting the convoy of Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
Saudi Arabia affirmed its full solidarity with Somalia and its people against threats to their security and stability, the ministry said in a statement. The Kingdom reiterated its rejection of all forms of violence, terrorism, and extremism.
Al Shabaab militants claimed they targeted Somalia's President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud in a bomb attack on his motorcade as it was traveling through the capital Mogadishu on Tuesday. The attack resulted in casualties.
