MAKKAH —
More than one million worshippers benefited from the electric golf cart service at the Grand Mosque in Makkah during Ramadan, according to the General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque.

The authority reported a record-breaking night on the 27th of Ramadan, with 57,000 individuals transported using the golf carts in a single evening.

The electric cart service, introduced to support elderly and disabled pilgrims performing tawaf, operates on the roof of the Mataf area.

The authority provided 50 electric golf carts to meet the needs of pilgrims seeking accessible mobility during their rituals.

The initiative is part of the broader efforts to enhance the pilgrim experience at the Grand Mosque and ensure ease of movement, particularly during peak seasons like Ramadan.
