RIYADH — The historic city of Diriyah will host the third meeting of the International Monetary Fund's (IMF) International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC) Deputies on April 6–7, 2025, under the chairmanship of Saudi Arabia.
The high-level gathering will be opened by Saudi Minister of Finance Mohammed Al-Jadaan and IMF Managing Director Dr. Kristalina Georgieva.
The meeting will address key developments in the global economy, explore strategies to bolster international financial stability, and shape the IMF’s forward-looking work agenda. It also serves as a preparatory platform for the IMFC ministerial meetings and will include several sessions focused on global economic challenges, potential responses, and the IMF’s role in promoting resilience.
The IMFC, composed of 25 members including finance ministers and central bank governors from across advanced, developing, and low-income countries, is the IMF’s primary body for setting strategic policy direction and advising on global economic and financial issues.
