RIYADH — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned Israel’s decision to shut down six schools operated by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in East Jerusalem.
In a statement on Friday, the Kingdom reiterated its firm rejection of Israel’s continued defiance and its systematic targeting of UNRWA and humanitarian relief efforts, describing it as unacceptable and in violation of international norms.
The Ministry urged the international community to take responsibility in the face of Israel’s ongoing violations against the Palestinian people, warning that silence in the face of such actions only deepens the crisis and undermines the chances of achieving peace in the region.
