JEDDAH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman offered condolences over the death of former Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
In a cable of condolences sent to King of Malaysia Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar, the King offered deepest condolences to Sultan Iskandar and the family of the deceased, praying to God to bestow His vast mercy and forgiveness upon him, and accommodate him in His Paradise.
In separate cables sent to King of Malaysia Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar and Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim, the Crown Prince extended deepest condolences to Sultan Iskandar and Anwar Ibrahim and the family of the deceased. He prayed God to bestow His mercy and forgiveness upon the deceased, and grant him a place in His Paradise.
Badawi, aged 85, died at a hospital in Kuala Lumpur on Monday. He served as Malaysia's fifth prime minister from 2003 to 2009.
