PARIS —
Saudi Minister of Health Fahad Al Jalajel has concluded a three-day official visit to France, which included stops in Paris and Lyon.

The visit featured high-level meetings with French ministers, senior officials, and leaders from the health and business sectors, as well as the signing of several memoranda of understanding aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation.

In Lyon, Al Jalajel met with Dr. Elisabete Weiderpass, Director of the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), to explore opportunities for advancing collaboration in cancer research, innovation, and global health.

The discussions also covered IARC’s current research programs and the potential for forming scientific and technical partnerships to address cancer-related challenges more effectively.

The Saudi delegation also visited the World Health Organization Academy to discuss strategic approaches to training healthcare professionals and equipping them with the skills needed to meet future demands in the healthcare sector.
