Saudi Arabia’s natural landscape is rich, diverse, and defined by its distinct character. From its mountain ranges and expansive deserts to fertile valleys, highlands, lakes, and coastlines, every region reveals a unique ecological identity shaped by geography and time. This environmental wealth holds enduring value as a national asset, calling for preservation, restoration, and stewardship for generations to come.

The Saudi Green Initiative (SGI) stands as a bold national step toward a more sustainable future. With an ambition to rehabilitate over 74 million hectares of land, it reimagines the balance between progress and environmental responsibility. And behind every transformation, there is always a driving force — education that inspires, awareness that empowers, and engagement that turns intent into impact.

ROSHN Group, as a leading multi-asset national developer, is embracing this responsibility by weaving sustainability into every aspect of its work. A key expression of that commitment is the ROSHN Green Initiative (RGI) Center; a space built not just to grow trees, but to grow understanding, curiosity, and connection. It’s a dedicated hub for environmental education, community involvement, and the promotion of Saudi Arabia’s indigenous flora.

The Center produces thousands of trees annually, many of which take root in ROSHN’s destinations like SEDRА and WAREFA, while others are gifted back to our community in national reserves, parks, and visiting guests. But the real impact lies in the stories planted alongside the seedlings. Visitors are taken on a hands-on, immersive journey that follows the lifecycle of native Saudi plants, from seed to soil — discovering the quiet, powerful beauty of conservation along the way.

Children get their hands dirty in the best way; transferring young seedlings from plastic pots to clay, learning how to care for new life with gentleness and patience. Older students and adults dig deeper into ecosystems, gardening methods, and the broader principles of sustainability. These moments leave a lasting impression. What begins as curiosity becomes care, and care becomes action.

The Center’s reach doesn’t end with walk-ins. ROSHN Group actively collaborates with schools, universities, and associations to co-create environmental programs tailored to different age groups and institutional goals. These partnerships equip educators and institutions with tools to promote maintainable practices and position the RGI Center as a national pivot for grassroots impact.

Education is more than the transfer of knowledge. It shapes values, drives action, and lays the foundation for lasting progress. Through the RGI national-wide activations and RGI Center, ROSHN Group is investing in a future where sustainability becomes instinctive and environmental awareness is embedded in the way people live. Every visitor leaves informed and inspired.

Schools, universities, and organizations seeking to motivate the next generation are encouraged to engage with the RGI Center. It is through early exposure, meaningful participation, and lasting impressions that we nurture a generation ready to restore the land and lead the Kingdom’s journey toward a greener tomorrow.
