Saudi, French foreign ministers discuss Gaza situation, preparations for Palestine peace conference

RIYADH —
Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan received French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot in Riyadh on Friday.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the strong bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and France and discussed regional and international issues of mutual concern.

The talks placed particular emphasis on the ongoing situation in Gaza and the preparations for the upcoming Conference on the Settlement of the Palestinian Issue, scheduled for June. The conference will be jointly chaired by Saudi Arabia and France.

The discussions underscored the importance of advancing efforts toward implementing the two-state solution as a pathway to achieving lasting peace in the region.

The meeting was attended by Prince Musab bin Mohammed Al-Farhan, Political Affairs Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs; Saudi Ambassador to France Fahd Al-Ruwaily; and Dr. Manal Radwan, Advisor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
