RIYADH — The Ministry of Commerce announced on Monday the recall of approximately 6,500 Hyundai Genesis vehicles, including several 2015-2017 year models.

The ministry noted the possibility of water entering the starter, which could lead to an electrical short circuit and a fire in the engine compartment while driving or when the vehicle is stationary.

The ministry urged owners of these vehicles to check the vehicle's eligibility through the "Recall" website and contact the company to perform the necessary repairs, free of charge.
